VR Base Franchise, where everything started
Five entertainment venues across Flanders, built and operated from the ground up. The real-world challenges of running them every day are what shaped VR Base Core.
One venue, five locations, one operational backbone
Before the infrastructure, before the platform, before the partnerships, there was a single venue in Mechelen. It was 2018, and the idea was straightforward: bring people together in a shared immersive experience. Multiplayer, teambuilding, fun. Not a solo experience behind a headset, but something you do with others.
What started as one location grew into five across Flanders: Mechelen, Leuven, Kortrijk, Brecht and Bruges. And with every new location came a new set of operational challenges, how do you keep the experience consistent, the hardware reliable and the operations manageable across multiple venues at once?
Because VR Base Franchise is our own concept, we own every layer: the experiences, the hardware, the network, the operations. That's exactly what gave us the depth to build VR Base Core, not as a theoretical product, but as the solution to problems we lived ourselves.
What running five venues teaches you
Multiplayer synchronization across headsets. Hardware that needs to be ready every single day. Updates that can't break a morning session. Visitor flow that has to be fast and frictionless at peak hours. Reporting across locations. These are the operational realities that shaped VR Base Core from the inside out.
Today, all five VR Base Franchise locations run on VR Base Core, centrally managed, consistently operated and continuously updated from one place. New experiences roll out across all venues simultaneously. Issues are flagged and resolved before they affect visitors.
